Sculptra for Collagen Stimulation
Sculptra (injectable poly-L-lactic acid) is an FDA-approved product designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face. This treatment is highly effective, with substantial scientific evidence demonstrating long-lasting, noticeable results.
Sculptra is recommended for individuals with healthy immune systems to correct shallow to deep nasolabial folds and other facial wrinkles. The most common areas treated with Sculptra include the lower face (chin and jowls), mid-cheek region, and the upper face (temples, forehead, and brows).
After receiving Sculptra injections, we recommend massaging the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days. This helps to disperse the Sculptra particles smoothly and evenly under the skin. As the Sculptra particles begin to stimulate collagen synthesis, patients will notice improvements in skin texture. At this point, we often proceed with another injection session to enhance the initial improvements. Most patients achieve full results after 2-3 treatments.
This natural collagen stimulation process can last up to 2 years. At Brandywine Med Spa in Kennett Square, we often combine Sculptra injections with Exilis Ultra treatments, which use radiofrequency and ultrasound energy for skin tightening. This combination yields superior results, and we have observed remarkable outcomes in our patients.
